Project Description:

The Albazino–Amursk Project involves the processing of gold-bearing concentrates at the Amursk Hydrometallurgical Plant (AHP) using pressure oxidation technology (POX). AHP became the first operating facility in Russia to use autoclave technology for the processing of gold-bearing concentrates.

The design and supply of equipment for the autoclave section were carried out by the Canadian company SNC-Lavalin, which has extensive experience in implementing similar pressure oxidation projects.

The design and supply of the Plant Control System were carried out under the supervision and technical coordination of SNC-Lavalin. The control system was implemented using a Siemens fault-tolerant H-system PLC architecture, designed to ensure high reliability and continuous control of critical processes within the pressure oxidation plant.

To solve this challenge, Severstal selected a solution from Siemens VAI Metals Technologies, which included improvements to the existing equipment and the implementation of a modern automation system.

My Role:
