Project Description:

In 2011, SEVERSTAL, one of the world leading steel producers, launched a major project to modernize the converter steel making plant facilities at the industrial plant located in Cherepovets, Russia, as part of its program aimed at increasing production volumes and improving environmental standards. One of the key objectives of the project was to install a new secondary dedusting system for the converter steel making plant facilities.

The environmental project is directly related to the modernization of the converter steel making plant facilities. The project includes the installation of new suction hoods, ducts, a new bag filter unit along with fans and stack in order to improve the environmental standards.

To address this task, SEVERSTAL selected a solution offered by Siemens VAI Metals Technologies.

My Role:

Project Manager responsible for E&A project scope, schedule, and financial performance.
